Cleaning the O-Ring on the lid

This tutorial demonstrates how to remove the O-Ring from the lid, clean it, lubricate it and return it to service.

Remove the lid from the chamber.

Lay flat on a clean surface.

Use a flat screw drive or flat stick to remove the O-Ring. Be careful not to cut it.

Clean the O-ring with a rag. If it has not been cleaned in awhile use some soap or cleanser.

Apply a generous amount of Petroleum Jelly – “Vaseline”. Spread completely around the O-Ring.

DO NOT USE GREASE

only Petroleum Jelly.

Stretch the O-Ring back over the O-Ring groove and secure in place.

Chamber lid is now ready for use.
