Installing the Almond Compression Gland Gasket and Insert

This tutorial is to change your existing Compression Gland and fit it with a Compression Gland Almond Insert and Gasket.

The four parts shown are:

  • Compression Gland Lid fitted with 1/4 inch Compression Gland Gasket/Insert (top)
  • Almond Compression Gland Insert (lower left)
  • Almond Compression Gland Gasket (lower center)
  • Friction Washer (lower right)

Unscrew the Compression Gland Screw from the existing system.

Next, remove the Friction Washer and Compression Gland Insert.

Remove, the Compression Gland Gasket. This might be a good time to clean everything out.

Now, begin with the Almond Compression Gland parts.

First, place the Almond Compression Gland Gasket with the FLAT side facing up.

Next, put in the Almond Compression Gland Insert with the FLAT side facing down.

The Friction Washer sits right ontop of the edge of the Almond Insert.

The finished product should look like this.
