- What is an MP3 File?
- How do you use it?
- Do you normally prefer Cassette Tapes?
- Do you desire to listen to Steve Gregg's teachings on MP3, but do
not have a fast enough internet connection?
If you answered yes to any of these - read on!
Cassette duplication is costly and time consuming. You can
now receive all of Steve's teaching on about 30 CD discs filled with
MP3 files. Like me, this terminology might be confusing
to you and you might feel like retreating back to the good old Cassette
Tape! Have no fear - this page will help you make the leap to MP3
technology.
An MP3 File is a computer audio file that is VERY compact and
small. Therefore, lots of teaching can be recorded onto just one
CD. On one CD we can fit about 40 teachings (90 minutes
each) which costs just pennies to produce. If this is produced
using Cassettes the cost is about $2.00/tape or about $80.00 for the
same amount of teaching.
The MP3 file can be played normally on a computer, DVD player, CD
players, Ipod or audio players in your car.
A good MP3 player is nice when listening to lots of teachings.
One of the most important features will be "Bookmark" or save your spot
while you put the teaching on hold or pause. The other feature is
nice to be able to "scroll" through the CD and see what teaching you
want to listen
to.
Buying a good MP3 player is important as not all have the same features
needed. Being able to scroll through files and bookmark is
imperative. I highly recommend an IPOD as the best player you
will be able to get.
