Selecting the right instrument

We manufacture 6 different Pressure Chambers for various uses.  For scheduling deficit irrigation or teaching plant water relations the following are the most popular:

Model 600 Pressure Chamber

Model 610 Pressure Chamber

Model 615 Pressure Chamber

These three units are made of the same components.  Model 600 uses an external tank, Model 610 has an internal tank and Model 615 has a removable internal tank.  All units are portable for field use and have 40 bar pressure capacity.  All three units have an aluminum chamber fitted with an adjustable Compression Gland Sealing System.  The chamber is 2.5 inches in diameter and 5.0 inches deep.

If your sampling needs require a slightly larger chamber, we offer the Model 670.  It has all the same features of the Model 600 above except the chamber is 4.0 inches in diameter and 7.0 inches deep.

Model 670 Pressure Chamber

While the above units use nitrogen gas to pressurize the chamber, our Pump-Up Pressure Chamber compresses atmospheric air into the chamber similar to a bicycle pump.  This instrument is limited to 20 Bar and has a very small chamber which is 5.0 inches deep, 2.75 inches wide and 5/8 inch breadth.  It was designed for testing orchard leaves using the Stem Water Potential method.

For those needing more pressure capacity, the Model 1000 offers 70 Bar of pressure and uses an external tank.  It has a stainless steel chamber that is 2.5 inches diameter and 5.0 inches deep.  This unit can be upgraded to 100 Bar.  It also comes with an adjustable Compression Gland Sealing System.

In addition, for those needing larger chambers we offer various sized "Super Chambers".  We also manufacture a "Cavitation Chamber".
