The Model 600 Pressure Chamber Instrument is one of our instruments of choice for routine water measurements for the purpose of deficit irrigation management or irrigation scheduling. The 40 bar operational range allows for all irrigation scheduling for normal crop plants and is a good instrument for teaching plant water relations. There are also two other instruments that might be useful for these purposes depending upon what your requirements. The Model 610 is a self-contained unit. The Pump-Up does not require a pressure source. If you need additional pressure capacity for doing research or pressure-volume curves we recommend the Model 1000. For more information about how the Pressure Chamber works or other questions, please check our Tutorial Page.
